Eleven36 Candle Co. was born from a passion for crafting warm, inviting spaces through the beauty of scent. What started as a hobby of hand-pouring candles blossomed into a full-fledged business fueled by a love for handmade quality products. I was driven by a desire to create high-quality candles that go beyond just fragrance and began experimenting with small-batch techniques and unique blends of premium wax and natural oils.
Each candle at Eleven36 is a reflection of my journey—a commitment to slow, intentional creation, where every detail matters. Each candle is made with care, attention and love, as I think about the experience it will bring to the person whose home it enters.

Our story
Each year since I can remember, my grandfather, like clockwork, would mail me a check for my birthday. Grandpa always lived across the country from where I grew up; him in New York, me in California.I could always rely on his sweet gesture to put a card in the mail, specifically for Granddaughter’s birthday. When I was young I remember mindfully and responsibly depositing his check into my saving’s account, always going towards the purchase I had in mind. Be it the Guess Jeans in 5th grade, my first car when I turned 16, or that papasan chair I had to have in my first apartment! As I grew older, got married, had children, I wasn’t as intentional with that gift from Grandpa. I would deposit into the checking account, and just like that, it would disappear into the dark abyss. I’m sure it was put towards diapers, milk, or paying the internet bill, all very important, however, didn’t give me the slightest bit of memory or thanks to the thought that my sweet Grandpa had to have intended when he lovingly signed each check.
Fast forward to June 2023. Grandpa, who was about to be 99, mailed the check for my birthday. As I opened the card, I consciously recall thinking “I want to intentionally purchase something that I can remember and thank Grandpa for everytime I see it.” One evening, with my favorite candle burning next to me, I scrolled Amazon, thinking and looking for something creative I can use or make that would fit the bill. I stumbled upon a candle making kit and the rest was history. It all came clear, the spark was lit, and I knew that could be it. When I received the kit, I spent a fun evening with my daughter and our friends, having dinner, telling fun stories, and making candles.
Over the days, months, and into the next year, I became passionately excited about learning the science of candle-making. I dove deep into the learning phase of wax performance, pouring temperatures, and wick testing. I challenged my math skills with calculating wax density, fragrance load and eventually began thinking about the possibility of turning this hobby into something more. Eleven36 Candle Co. launched in September of 2024. Our name, Eleven36, comes from a Bible verse, Luke 11:36, and is a nod to the transformative moments in life—the times when a single spark can light the way to something beautiful. Just like the idea of creating something that would remind me of the love of my Grandfather, and just like the love of our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, who came to be the Light of the World.

Waxes
We use a premium blend of natural beeswax and coconut wax for a smooth, clean burn. Our wax is eco-friendly, non-toxic, and chosen to create a sustainable, longer-lasting candle.
fragrances
Each candle is infused with carefully curated fragrance oils that create a balanced and inviting aroma. We source scents formulated without phthalates adhering to RIFM and IFRA standards for safety and purity. Our scents are crafted to evoke emotions, memories, and experiences that brighten your space and your mood.
wicks
We use 100% cotton sqaure-braided wicks, ensuring a clean, steady flame. Our wicks are lead-free and designed to pair perfectly with our wax blend, giving you a consistent burn every time.
